Welcome

We want to welcome you to the flagship website of the Mighty Third District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated. The District consist of the Old Dominion State, Virginia and our Nation's Capital in Washington, the District of Columbia. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was founded in the Mighty Third District on the campus of Howard University in Washington DC. In addition, the first undergraduate and Alumni chapter and first intermediate chapter was founded in the Third District.

Members of the district include a host of professionals including former Grand Officers, senior ranking political officials, scholars, military officers and top-ranking enlisted personnel, athletes, community leade5rs and educators. The brotherhood supports the finer Cardinal Principles espoused by Omega; Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.

SCHOLARSHIPS

The Scholarship Program is intended to promote academic excellence among
the undergraduate members. The 3rd district has compiled an extended list of
scholarship opportunities from a variety of sources.  The scholarships are awarded
based on various criteria usually reflecting the principles and purposes of the

YOUTH ACADEMY PROGRAM

View the Periodicals LinkThe Youth Academy Program (YAP) provides accountable, effective,
family-centered, community-based treatment services which are
delivered in the least restrictive and most efficient manner. 

Vision Statement:  The Youth Academy is committed to being the
leader in the development and utilization of community-based
programming for the treatment of children and families, therefore,
changing lives through innovative strategies.
